Xavier Hernandez Salas was born in Mexico City on October 19th, 1975. In 1994, after a stay to learn English in Vancouver, Canada where he worked on the construction field, decides to make its bachelor's degree in architecture at the University of Yucatan. Once he graduated in 2000 he worked as a project manager in an American company dedicated to export architectural elements carved in stone. In 2002 he decides to make his postgraduate studies, earning a master's degree in sustainable architecture at London Metropolitan University.
In 2005 he founded his first architectural firm named Xavier Salas Architects. After several successful projects as a designer, he decided to work as a team along with a former colaborator, with whom he joined in 2010 to form the office DØX Arquitectos. In 2015 he decides to go solo and re-institutes Xavier Salas Architects. The team seeks for the balance between aesthetics and functionality in the projects collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to achieve unique projects.
